“Andy Warhol” by Sean Keating

A solo art exhibit featuring the works of Sean Keating is on display now at the Mayor’s Gallery in Stamford.

The exhibit is titled “The Face of Inspiration: Portraits of Artists, Writers and other Muses” and features 35 of Mr. Keating’s paintings.

A reception for the exhibit is being held Thursday, Nov.15, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mayor’s Gallery, 10th floor, 888 Washington Boulevard, Stamford.

Sean Keating is the son of actor Charles Keating and singer Mary Keating of Weston.  His works were recently exhibited at the Weston Public Library, where Mr. Keating also performed an evening of cabaret with his parents and brother Jamie.

Mr. Keating splits his time between painting and landscape design and is the owner of TLC Lawn and Landscaping Service. He lives in Wilton where he recently opened a small studio and gallery.  “I am most interested in painting people,” Mr. Keating said regarding his choice in subject matter. “There is something vital and accessible to everyone in the human form. If there is truth in it, we immediately respond.”

Mr. Keating’s paintings hang in numerous private and corporate collections and he has exhibited in a number of one-man shows and group exhibitions, winning various regional awards.

His exhibit at the Mayor’s Gallery will be on display until Dec. 31.
