Weston tag sale benefits girl with seizure disorder

The Walsh family is having a special tag sale and bake sale at their home at 392 Georgetown Road in Weston this Saturday, Oct. 20, from 10 to 3.

The tag sale is to benefit a family friend, 3-year-old Annetta (Netta) Smith Saggese. At 3 weeks old, Netta was diagnosed with brain abnormalities called complete agenesis or the corpus callosum and cortical dysplasia. These abnormalities caused an intractable seizure disorder called infantile spasms (IS) or West syndrome.

Netta lives with from a handful to as many as 100 seizures a day. She has had many hospital visits, and has further been diagnosed with another type of debilitating seizure disorder called Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.

The Walshes are donating proceeds from Saturday’s tag sale and bake sale to help the Saggese family with their tremendous medical costs.
