Aspetuck Land Trust has several free hikes scheduled for October. These expert-led educational hikes are open to everyone but have limited space, so sign-up is necessary.

For a complete list of hikes and more information, visit aspetucklandtrust.org. To reserve a spot on one of the hikes, email David Brant at [email protected]

Saturday, Oct. 13

Hawk Walk, 9:30-11:30 a.m., Trout Brook Valley Orchard, Easton. Larry Fischer, an expert bird-bander, will lead the walk in the orchard. He also led a group in September and they enjoyed seeing Larry hold a Cooper’s Hawk, two American Kestrels, and a rarely caught Merlin.

Sunday, Oct. 21

Fall Foliage Hike, 1-3:30 p.m., Trout Brook Valley Preserve, Weston. This hike with Gary Haines will offer the group a chance to see some of fall’s great colors and learn more about the trees in Trout Brook Valley.
