The Weston Historical Society’s annual meeting on Sunday, March 29, will feature local author Julie O’Connor as guest speaker. The meeting begins at 4 p.m. and is open to the public.

This year’s meeting will be held in the Community Room of the Weston Public Library because the society’s Landmark Homes of Weston exhibit is being constructed for its spring opening at the historical society’s museum.

Ms. O’Connor will preview the Landmark Homes event with a presentation on the Doors of Weston. Showcasing colorful photographs from her art book of the same name, Ms. O’Connor will offer a kaleidoscopic vision of Weston’s passage through time, and celebrate its sense of community, its natural beauty, and the long list of artists, actors, and writers who have called it home.

The business portion of the meeting will include a brief financial report and election by the members present to the society’s board of trustees. Candidates include Nina Daniel, Arne de Keijzer, Ken Edgar, Kathy Failla, Ivar Gram, Dallas Kersey, Roy Marsh, Susan Moran, Michele Schassberger, Fran Sheff-Mauer, Peter Shih, Karen Tatarka, and Richard Wolf.
