Girls lacrosse: Weston wins fourth straight

The Weston High girls varsity lacrosse team won its fourth straight game by beating Stratford 14-2 at home. The win was Weston’s eighth overall and qualified it for a spot in the state Class S tournament.

Lindsay Koch scored a season-high seven goals to lead Weston. Fran Holmes (three assists) and Stephanie Thomson (one assist) each netted three. Nicole DeCanio (one assist) scored one.

Alexa Werner had three assists. Stefanie Buffa had two and Michaela Dyson was credited with one.

Carolyn Figliola and Claudia Hason made five and seven saves in goal respectively for Weston, now 8-1 overall.
