Cheer extravaganza is Friday, May 4

Weston Trojan Youth Cheer, together with Weston High School’s varsity cheerleaders, invites all girls in first through eighth grade to get into the Weston spirit at the first annual cheer extravaganza on Friday, May 4, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., at the Weston Intermediate School gym. Under the direction of Weston Trojan Youth Cheer Coach Maria Terrell and Weston High varsity cheerleading coach Kelley Coleman, the Trojan cheerleaders will lead the participants in cheers, dance routines and games for an afternoon of fun and school spirit.

“We encourage girls of all levels of interest in cheer to join us,” said Kathie Fitzgerald, vice president of cheer for Weston Trojan Youth Football and Cheer. “Even if cheerleading isn’t their sport, learning a quick dance or cheer routine and trying it out as a group is a lot of fun. And if they are into cheerleading, this will be a unique opportunity to meet the varsity squad and coaches and share their interest and enthusiasm.”

The extravaganza is free of charge and open only to Weston students. For more information, please contact Ms. Fitzgerald at 203-247-0342 or [email protected]
