New classic car show is coming to Weston this fall

A new car show is going to be held being held in Weston in September.

Named “The Alden Sherman Classic,” after Weston car enthusiast Alden Sherman, the show will be held Sunday, Sept. 23, from 10 to 3 at the Weston school campus. The show is sponsored by the Friends of the Weston Senior Activities Center.

The show is an “all inclusive event” and will feature a number of great cars from collections within the community. Enthusiasts are invited to display their automobiles, enjoy the camaraderie of others and be evaluated and rewarded with trophies for their special cars and motorcycles.

The new show will also help fill a void now that the Fairfield Concours event has been canceled this year.

The Weston Senior Center, which supports the lively senior community that makes up approximately 10% of Weston’s total population, is thrilled to be sponsoring this event.
