Girls lacrosse: Trojans have strong start to tournament

FI-lacrosseThe Weston High girls lacrosse team started the state Class S tournament by defeating Morgan of Clinton 24-6 in the first round on Tuesday. It was Weston’s highest scoring game of the season to date.

Lindsay Koch and Taylor Swanson led Weston with six goals apiece. The former also netted the 200th of her high school career. They had two and four assists respectively.

Morgan Moubayed scored four, surpassing the 100-goal mark and had two assists

Steph Thomson (four assists) had two goals while Frances Holmes (four assists), Danielle DeCanio, Ana Flooks (one assist), Rhemi Toth and Caroline Anderson all had one apiece.

Kristin Caolo made eight saves for Weston
