Veteran fashion photographer, former model, and model scout Debra Somerville is launching a special Modeling 101 class on Sunday, April 28, as part of her Images Workshop showcase.
Ms. Somerville will host this three-hour workshop along with modeling specialists, including personal image artist PIA, who will teach the group how to get the latest looks with hair and makeup and everyday tips to feel and look your best.
The workshop also features an inside look at the fashion world, where everyone will get a taste of what it’s like to be at a fashion shoot.
Special guests include Project Runway model and Weston High School graduate Michel Ann O’Malley, and international model Sam Mae of Westport, who will discuss what a model’s life is like both on the runway and in front of the camera.
Agents Tony Curcio and Dawn King from the Johnston Agency in New Canaan will be on hand to discuss what they look for when selecting new talent.
“Whether you are hoping to walk down the runway in the near future or you just love fashion, I know this will be a wonderful opportunity for you,” said Ms. Somerville.
The event is open to people age 12 and older and will be held on Sunday, April 28, from 1 to 4 at Ms. Somerville’s photography studio at 49 Richmondville Avenue in Westport. Space is limited. Tickets are $75 per person and may be ordered online at imagesworkshop.com, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 203-434-9499.
