On Saturday, March 30, the Winter Farmers Market at Norfield Grange held its first annual Easter Egg Hunt. More than 100 children of all ages came with their families and friends to join in two egg hunts.
For each of the hunts, the eager egg hunters waited patiently behind the fence for the hunt instructions. The first whistle blew at noon and off they went running around the yard at the grange in search of more than 1,000 plastic filled eggs plus the “Silver Egg” which allowed the lucky winner took home a cuddly stuffed bunny.
The first hunt was for kids under the age of five. The Silver Egg winner was Juliet Jannus, 4, of Weston.
The yard was cleared and prepared for the second hunt at 12:30 for the “Golden Egg” plus more prize slips and candy which were hidden inside plastic eggs.
The Golden Egg Winner was Madeleine Revzon, 7, of Weston who proudly took home a giant one pound chocolate bunny.
