For each of the hunts, the eager egg hunters waited patiently behind the fence for the hunt instructions. The first whistle blew at noon and off they went running around the yard at the grange in search of more than 1,000 plastic filled eggs plus the “Silver Egg” which allowed the lucky winner took home a cuddly stuffed bunny.

The first hunt was for kids under the age of five. The Silver Egg winner was Juliet Jannus, 4, of Weston.

The yard was cleared and prepared for the second hunt at 12:30 for the “Golden Egg” plus more prize slips and candy which were hidden inside plastic eggs.

The Golden Egg Winner was Madeleine Revzon, 7, of Weston who proudly took home a giant one pound chocolate bunny.

The event was hosted by the Grange Cow (Elizabeth Eastus of Redding) and the Easter Bunny and the eggs and prizes were provided by the vendors of the Winter Farmers Market and grange members.
