On Wednesday, March 20, Fresh Air Fund volunteer leaders and hosts will be at the Lunch Box in Weston at 3:45 p.m. to celebrate Fresh Air Fund Day with an ice cream social.
Volunteer hosts will talk to prospective host families about their experiences hosting a New York City child through The Fresh Air Fund’s Volunteer Host Family Program and answer any questions about hosting for this summer.
The Fresh Air Fund is an independent, not-for-profit agency that has provided free summer experiences to more than 1.7 million New York City children from low-income communities since 1877.
Each summer, more than 4,000 children visit volunteer host families in rural, suburban and small town communities like Weston.
