The Friends of the Weston Public Library are offering a varied lineup of events in March. All are free and open to the public.
Wednesdays, March 20, and March 27
Lunch and Learn writing workshops, 12:30 p.m. Back by popular demand, co-sponsored with the Weston Education Foundation. Marcelle Soviero, Wilton author and editor-in-chief of Brain, Child: The Magazine for Thinking Mothers, will teach the workshops which cover various aspects of the writing process:
March 20: Crafting Personal Essays/Memoir Writing.
March 27: Publishing Your Short or Full-length Work.
Attend any or all of the workshops. Admission is free but pre-registration for these workshops is encouraged, as space is limited. To pre-register, email friendsofthewestonlibrary@gmail.com. Bring a lunch.

Teen Tech Week, 3-5 p.m. Special screening of the movie The Princess Bride (PG).

Wednesday Evening Book Club, 7:30 p.m. Discussion of The Art of Hearing Heartbeats by Jan-Philippe Sendker.
Thursday, March 21
E-reader walk-in clinic, 2-4 p.m. Bring your e-reader and we’ll help you get started with OverDrive, the library’s e-book service. Sessions may be limited to 15 minutes.
Documentary Screening, 7 p.m. Topic to be announced.
Sunday, March 24
Special movie screening, 3 p.m. Keep the fun of the Weston High School’s performance of Kiss Me Kate going with a special showing of the 1953 classic film starring Howard Keel and Kathryn Grayson.
Wednesday, March 27
Movie Night feature film, 7 p.m. The award-winning The Life of Pi (PG), based on the best-selling novel by Yann Martel, is a magical story about a man adrift in a lifeboat with a zebra, hyena, an orangutan, and Bengal tiger Directed by Ang Lee. Free popcorn and water.
