Come and learn how to play pickleball at the Weston Senior Activities Center on Monday, March 18, at 1.
Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis.
The net is similar to a tennis net, but mounted two inches lower, and the game is played with a hard paddle and a polymer smaller version of a Wiffle ball.
The speed is one-third the average speed of a tennis ball, and the court is one-third the total area of a tennis court. The smaller area and slower moving ball make pickleball much easier to play.
It will be played in the Senior Center gym in South House at Hurlbutt Elementary School.
Don’t miss out on this new sport!
