Weston Kiwanis Club wine tasting is Saturday

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe Kiwanis Club of Weston will hold its annual wine tasting fund-raiser this Saturday, March 16, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Norfield Church parish hall.

Tickets are on sale for this signature annual event, and the Weston community is invited to taste delicious wines and enjoy hors d’oeuvres while supporting local charitable organizations.

Proceeds from ticket sales this year go to the Weston Warm-Up Fund, Weston Social Services, and the Weston Kiwanis Club Foundation. Attendees may choose which organization they wish to support with their ticket purchases.

Larry Vavarek of Peter’s Spirit Shop in Weston Center is offering a broad selection of wines for tasting and ordering with values at every price point. Bon Soiree of Westport will serve hors d’oeuvres in a gracious party setting.

This year’s silent auction includes goods and services with broad appeal.

Highlights include tickets to Jose Feliciano’s 2013 World Tour concert, including backstage passes, JetBlue tickets, a stay for two at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix, Saturday at the Culinary Institute of America’s Food Enthusiast Program, and an Orvis Clearwater Fly Fishing Kit plus fly casting lessons for two.

Tickets are $75 each. Contact Pam Kersey at [email protected] or 203-454-8891.
