Tickets are on sale for the St. Francis of Assisi Casino Night, to be held on March 9. Tickets are limited and can be purchased in the back of church, on Norfield Road in Weston, after all weekend masses or by calling the Parish Office at 203-227-1341.
Casino Night was conceived as a festive, community building event with casino games, unexpected auction items, food and drink. Games include poker, slots, roulette, craps and blackjack with non-cash prizes.
The auction-style prize system enables both card sharks and novices to win prizes. There will also be a traditional auction for items such as trips, coveted sports items and a variety of experiences.
Tickets are $80 per person and include hearty appetizers catered by O’Neills Bar and Restaurant in Norwalk, an open bar and $250 in chips to get players started. Each table is a $25 table and additional chips may be purchased at the event to increase chances of winning a prize.
Attendees must be over 21. Tickets are limited so purchasing tickets in advance is encouraged.
The planning committee includes Siobhan Harpur Boyle, Kim Grogan, Sandra Jester, Brooke Krietler, Elise Major, Linda Nash, Lisa O’Neill, Carol Palumbo, Laurie Peterson and Fr. Michael Dunn.
