Selectmen review Weston Parks and Recreation director’s performance

The Board of Selectmen held a special meeting at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 5.

The board — First Selectman Gayle Weinstein, Selectman David Muller and Selectman Dennis Tracey — met in executive session (closed to the public) for approximately an hour to consider the performance of the director of the Parks and Recreation Department, Dave Ungar.

Included in the executive session were Town Administrator Tom Landry, Eric Albert, chairman of the Parks and Recreation Commission, and Commissioners Dave Juneau and Carl Bernstein.

Mr. Ungar was invited to join the others for a portion of the meeting.

Because the meeting was held in executive session, all parties declined to comment on the substance of the discussion. No vote was taken when the board returned to public session before adjourning.
