The bitter cold of this week is almost gone and the forecasts for heavier snow on Friday, made earlier this week, have been downgraded to light snow Friday night, according to the National Weather Service.
Friday’s high is expected to be near 24 but still bring a wind chill that could make it feel like -1. Light snow is expected, mainly between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m., as the temperature drops down into the low teens. New snow accumulation Friday evening is expected to be less than a half inch.
The weekend forecast is for more sun and a bit warmer. Saturday’s high could be near 26; and a low around 14. Sunday’ high is expected to be near 30; with a low around 16. Both days this weekend are expected to be windy but not as windy as earlier this week.
On Monday, the temperatures could go above freezing for the first time in over a week. There’s a chance of rain in the afternoon and high near 36. Monday night could bring some more rain, snow and freezing rain as the temperature gets down to 32.
Tuesday’s high is forecast for 46; Tuesday night could bring more showers, with a low around 39. Wednesday could also be rainy with a high near 49; Wednesday’s low could be around 34.
