Weston High School is hosting the Mock Trial Connecticut state quarterfinals on Monday, Feb. 4, from 3 to 8 p.m.
More than 250 students, parents, coaches, and judges from across the state will be in attendance as classrooms at the high school will be transformed into courtrooms.
Student attorneys and witnesses will be trying the case of State of New Jersey v. Sam Oddington.
Weston is fielding two teams in the quarterfinals: Weston Red and Weston Blue. The teams are being coached by Peggy Jorgenson.
Because of the number of participants, space for spectators is limited.
The high school Mock Trial program was started in 1976 by Civics First, a nonprofit organization that promotes and conducts law-related education programs and projects in Connecticut schools.
