Weston First Selectman Gayle Weinstein called an emergency meeting of the Board of Selectmen to discuss safety and security issues. The meeting, which lasted about an hour, was held Saturday, Jan. 12, beginning at 2 p.m.
Ms. Weinstein, Selectman David Muller and Selectman Dennis Tracey attended, as well as Weston police Sgt. Pat Daubert.
According to the draft minutes of the meeting, posted on the town website on Monday, Jan. 14, the board entered executive session, discussed safety and security issues, then exited executive session and adjourned at 3:05 p.m.
Under state Freedom of Information laws, public agencies may hold emergency meetings with no notice, provided the meeting minutes are posted within 72 hours and as long as there is adequate justification of the emergency.
