The Weston Volunteer Fire Department responded to a brush fire in the area of 54 Davis Hill Road on Tuesday, April 17. Upon arrival the fire was found to be dangerously close to a detached garage. The fire was quickly extinguished and the garage was not damaged. The cause of the fire appeared to be a discarded cigarette on the side of the road. —Terry Blake photo
