When Elayne Cassara teamed with Drew Friedman to reopen Cobb’s Mill Inn, part of their vision was to provide a welcoming space to support the arts and further the sense of community within Weston and neighboring towns. This holiday season, La Roue Elayne at Cobb’s Mill Inn invites everyone to be a part of its first Weston Community Concert.
During her 20 years as a pastor in Darien, Ms. Cassara directed and performed with her 200-person choir for thousands on some of the world’s biggest stages.
“In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and the holidays approaching, I wanted to add to the incredible warmth and compassion I feel around me each day,” said Ms. Cassara. “With my experience and the breadth of talent Weston holds, a holiday concert presented a perfect opportunity.”
Concert dates are Dec. 21 and 22 at Cobb’s Mill Inn, 12 Old Mill Road in Weston.
Festivities begin at 7 p.m., with the concert starting at 8.
The Weston Community Holiday Concert will include an adult choir, a children’s choir and some solo performances from several notable vocalists in the community.
