Residents who have been affected by Storm Sandy are being urged to register online with FEMA in order to apply for federal disaster assistance.
Residents may apply for assistance online at DisasterAssistance.gov or by smartphone at m.fema.gov in order to expedite the registration process. To register by phone, call 800-621-3362.
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has released a fact sheet that provides step-by-step details on how the FEMA application process works. It may be downloaded at ct.gov/sandy.
“One of our top priorities following Storm Sandy is to help individuals and business owners get their lives back to normal as quickly as possible,” Mr. Malloy said, calling his fact sheet a “one-stop resource for residents.”
The fact sheet will continue to be updated as developments are made and additional assistance may become available.
