The Georgetown Farmers Market opens for the 2012 season this Sunday, June 17, at 4 Old Mill Rd., in the parking lot near the Lumberyard Pub, from 10 to 2.
On opening day, Arthur Lipner’s Wilton Steel Band will help the vendors of the Georgetown Farmers Market celebrate their 14th year. The band will play from 11 to 1.
There will be five new vendors at the market this year. They include Carrot Top Kitchen jams, jellies, pickles and chutneys; Molly and Murphy’s dog and horse biscuits; Geremia Gardens award-winning produce; Du Soleil fine prepared foods; and Lenny’s Coal Fired Pizza.
Old favorites that will be back are Blackbird Baked Goods homemade pies; Eaglewood Farm beef and pork; Lakeview Orchards seasonal fruits; Veronica’s Gardens organic tomatoes and vegetables, Goatboy Soap goat milk soap; and Wave Hill Bread artisan bread and olive oil.
Also, Aspetuk Orchards with fresh vegetables, fruits, honey and maple syrup; Keeds micro-greens and fresh eggs; All Whipped Up cookie dough treats; Calcutta Kitchen Indian sauces; and Pastabilities fresh handmade pasta and sauces.
