The Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra (WCYO) performs its first concert of the 2012-13 season on Sunday, Nov. 18, at 4 p.m. at the East Ridge Middle School auditorium in Ridgefield.
The concert features the WCYO symphony orchestra, wind ensemble, and string ensemble performing selections by Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, and others.
Weston students in the orchestra include Grayson Kane, cello; Natalie Marks, violin; Katherine Mitchell, cello; Julia Weisman, violin; Cameron Edgar, cello; and Natalie Schanzer, trumpet.
Members of the WCYO will also perform as guest artists in Video Games Live at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 8 p.m. tion. Visit wctyo.org for more information.
