Wednesday, Oct. 31 The town of Weston issued a Code Red message today asking for patience as CL&P and town crews work on the roads. The town has posted road closures on its website http://www.westonct.gov.
The comfort station will be open at Weston High School today through Friday, from 6 a. m. to 10 p.m. Weekend hours will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Private showers, potable water, internet and charging stations are available.
Town Hall will be open at noon today, and will operate a regular schedule after that. The library will be open today until 8 p.m. and tomorrow from 9 to 5.
Weston public schools will remain closed all week. The decision to open next week will be made on Friday.
Movies will be shown at the Weston High School this afternoon and throughout the week. Check the school or town websites for movie schedule.
The town reminds residents to always use generators outdoors, away from doors, windows and vents. Do not use generators in homes, garages, basements, crawl spaces, or other enclosed or partially enclosed areas, even with ventilation. Install battery-operated or plugin (with battery backup) carbon monoxide (CO) alarms in your home, following manufacturer’s instructions.
