The campaigns of 4th District Congressman Jim Himes (D) and his Republican challenger, Steve Obsitnik offered a join statement regarding the cancelation by the League of Women Voters of a debate that had been scheduled for tonight, Sunday, in Wilton.

However, on this day ensuring the safety of our families and communities is the top priority. We encourage everyone to stay informed, prepared and safe throughout the days ahead.”
The candidates also called for people to bring in lawn signs “as a safety precaution.”
