The South Western Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (SWRMPO) will meet on Thursday, Oc. 25, to discuss transportation policy, programs and projects that concern the South Western Region, which includes Weston. This meeting agenda includes transportation and non-transportation items, including a presentation on electric vehicle technology and infrastructure and a CL&P briefing.
The meeting will be held at the Norwalk Transit Distric, 275 Wilson Avenue, Norwalk, and will begin at 8:15 a.m. The meeting agenda is available at swrpa.org.
The SWRMPO is composed of the chief elected officials of the South Western Region’s eight towns of Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford, Weston, Westport and Wilton, and the directors of the region’s transit districts. As mandated by federal regulations, the SWRMPO is responsible for transportation policy development, planning, and programming of federal transportation funding for the region.
The SWRMPO meets the on the fourth Thursday of every month, at either the Norwalk Transit District or the South Western Regional Planning Agency. The public is invited to participate.
