A forum on West Nile awareness is being held Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Weston Town Hall from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The forum will include a panel of experts including Paul Capotosto, biologist for the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), Dr. Randall Nelson from the state Department of Public Health Epidemiology Program, and Mark A.R. Cooper, the director of health for the Westport Weston Health District.
The forum is being hosted by state Rep. John Shaban (R-135th District).
The panel will give a short presentation designed to educate the community about West Nile virus and give prevention tips for the serious disease. There will also be a question-and-answer period. The event is free and open to all.
