State Sen. Toni Boucher (R-26th District) has been endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Business.
The small business association said Ms. Boucher’s “voting record over the last two legislative sessions on key issues important to small business indicated [she] will continue to be committed to the needs of thousands of Main Street small businesses and their employees in Connecticut.”
Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA) reported Ms. Boucher’s “voting record on CBIA’s positions in 2011-12 was 100%.”
Ms. Boucher has also received the endorsement of the Connecticut State University-American Association of University Professors (CSU-AAUP) because of her positions and the association’s “perception that [she] recognize[s] the needs of higher education in Connecticut.”
In April, Ms. Boucher was awarded the Children’s Champion for 2012 award by the Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance for her bipartisan efforts to improve the quality of public education.
Ms. Boucher’s challenger for the 26th District is Democrat Carolanne Curry.
