The Westport Weston Family Y’s seventh annual Fall Family Fiesta takes place this Sunday, from 1 to 4 p.m. The Y’s signature fall family event is free and open to everyone in the community.
Children of all ages are invited to come the 32-acre Mahackeno Outdoor Center for an afternoon of active play and family fun.
“We’ll have lots of food and games, and we’ll continue our tradition of decorating sugar pumpkins for the kids to take home,” says Meaghan George, camp and youth director and coordinator of this year’s Fall Family Fiesta.
Children can romp on mega-size inflatables, summit the camp’s 20-foot climbing wall, take a ride on the zipline and compete against their friends in the bean-bag pumpkin toss.
Family Y volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about the future home of the Family Y, scheduled to begin construction at our Mahackeno campus early this winter.
Lunch fare includes hot dogs and an array of salads and healthful snacks and beverages. A D.J. will supply a musical backdrop to the festivities.
Visitors should use the Sunny Lane entrance off Route 33, past the Red Barn restaurant, with parking at the end of Sunny Lane.
