The League of Women Voters of Weston is hosting a debate between the candidates for the 135th state House District this Saturday, Oct.13, at the Weston Public Library from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Republican incumbent John Shaban and Democratic challenger Leon Karvelis will answer questions from the audience, read by Jean Rabinow, moderator from the League of Women Voters of Connecticut.
The Green Party candidate for the seat, Gabriel Russo, was invited to the debate but he could not attend.
The 135th District includes all of Weston, Easton and part of Redding.
