Weston Youth Services is offering the following free fall parenting workshops. All are held in the conference room behind the reference section at the Weston Public Library from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
For grades K-2

For grades 3-6
Wednesday, Oct. 24: How to Build Self-Esteem in Your Child
Wednesday, Nov. 14: Overcoming Powerlessness with Your Child: Strategies to Deal with Your Child Effectively
Jaqueline Lapa Sussman
The workshops are led by Jaqueline Lapa Sussman MS, LPC, a longtime Weston resident. She is a psychotherapist, author, and lecturer, and one of the foremost practitioners of eidetic image psychology. She has delivered lectures and seminars worldwide and has trained top-level government officials, health care providers, corporate CEOs, professional athletes, and university faculties.
Her books are Images of Desire: Finding Your Natural Sensual Self in Today’s Image-Filled Society and Freedom From Failure: How to Discover the Secret Images That Can Bring Success in Love, Parenthood, Career, and Physical Well-Being.
In addition, she has published numerous articles and currently writes a monthly self-help article for Total Health Magazine.

These workshops are led by Barbara R. Greenberg Ph.D., a professional consultant on adolescent issues at Silver Hill Hospital. She is co-author of Teenage as a Second Language. She is the Teen Doctor for Psychology Today, is a parenting expert for Galtime.com, and blogs regularly for the Huffington Post.
Dr. Greenberg has a doctorate in clinical psychology from SUNY Stony Brook and served as a clinical administrator on an adolescent inpatient unit at a private psychiatric hospital for 21 years before dedicating herself to private outpatient practice and consultation work.
