On Saturday, Oct. 6, Weston Cub Scouts will host their annual campfire and campout. It is during this campfire that Weston Pack 75 welcomes new Cubs to the pack and honors returning boys.
This event at the Weston Historical Society’s Coley Homestead is open to all Weston Cub Scouts and their families, as well as any boys in grades one through five who are interested in joining Cub Scouts or simply learning more about the program.
The event kicks off with a Barn Museum tour. Following tours, Cub Scouts will participate in a number of games and prepare their campfire dinner.
The highlight of the evening is the pack meeting around the campfire, where various dens will preform skits, songs and jokes and the youngest new Cubs will officially become Tiger Cub Scouts.
Registered Cub Scouts and their families may camp overnight at Coley Homestead.
For more information, visit the Weston Cub Scout Pack 75 website, westonpack75.com.
All participants are requested to register, and there is a nominal fee to cover costs.
Interested prospective Cub Scouts are welcome to join the afternoon and evening activities.
