Martin Cuomo, Alex Gunuey and GVI volunteer and local mom Lauren Fay helped put in the new 20′ x 40′ organic outdoor edible learning garden at Hurlbutt Elementary School last weekend.
Dozens of volunteers, led by Britta Lerner, planned, built and planted the new garden, which includes radish, chives, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, sunflowers, string beans, milkweed, butterfly bushes, echinacea, lettuce, onions, eggplant and tomatoes.
