U.S. Rep. Jim Himes (D-4th) was honored recently by the non-partisan Concord Coalition with the Paul E. Tsongas Economic Patriot Award for his work on fiscal responsibility and his support of the bipartisan Simpson-Bowles plan to reduce the deficit by $4 trillion in a responsible way.
The Concord Coalition, a nationwide, grass-roots organization advocating for responsible fiscal policy, honored 38 Democratic and Republican House members who took stances that would put the nation on a more responsible and sustainable course.
