WestonArts seeks award nominations

Nominations for WestonArts’ first Award For Commitment to the Arts in Weston are now open. Any individual who has contributed to the cultural life of Weston is eligible.

Nominations are due by email to info@westonarts.org or by letter to WestonArts, P.O. Box 1124, Weston, CT 06883 by Oct. 5.

The Board of WestonArts will select a nominee from those suggested by the Weston community, and the award will be presented at the Acoustic Weston concert Saturday, Nov. 3, 5:30 p.m. at La Roue Elayne at Cobbs Mill Inn in Weston.

Tickets to Acoustic Weston will be available at the door, $15 for adults, $5 for students.

WestonArts is a non-profit organization supporting and developing the arts in Weston. WestonArts raises money to promote communitywide development of the town’s rich arts heritage, and helps support future WestonArts grants for school and community arts programs.

This past year, WestonArts sponsored a dance performance and tribute to Margaret Bisceglie, longtime director of the Young People’s Creative Dance Theater, and beloved to many in the Weston community.
