
The Weston High girls varsity lacrosse team defeated Bethel 12-8 on Thursday to win its first South-West Conference Division II championship.
Weston led 7-4 at halftime only to have Bethel tie things up twice in the time remaining. The Trojans went ahead for good with 14 minutes left to play.Catie Ledwick led Weston with four goals, including the 100th of her high school career. She also had an assist.
Francis Holmes scored three goals with an assist and Lindsay Koch netted two. Nicole DeCanio (one assist) and Abbie Chepolis each scored one apiece.
