Boucher gets conservation endorsements

Toni Boucher

The bipartisan Connecticut League of Conservation Voters has endorsed the candidacy of state Sen. Toni Boucher (R-26). Ms. Boucher is seeking re-election to her third term.

The league said it has endorsed the candidate “who has demonstrated strong leadership on environmental issues, someone who is committed to protecting Connecticut’s land, water, air and wildlife, and to working for sustainable solutions to pressing state issues like transportation, energy, and waste management.”

In addition, Sen. Boucher has received the endorsement of the Sierra Club.

The club said its decision is based on Ms. Boucher’s responses to its questionnaire and the endorsement process, as well as her record of commitment to environmental issues and her “strong record of environmental support in the legislature.”
