The Weston school board held an emergency meeting at 8:45 this morning, Friday, Sept. 14, in the conference room at the central office building.
The agenda called for the meeting to immediately go into executive session (closed to the public) for “discussion of personnel matters,” but no specific personnel were named.
No information was available on the reason for the emergency meeting. The board plans to issue a press release later today.
Normally, boards and commissions may call a special meeting — one not originally scheduled at the beginning of a given year — with 24 hours notice. An emergency meeting does not require 24 hours notice, but may only be called in an emergency situation in which it is not possible to give 24 hours notice.
The school board has a regular board meeting scheduled for this Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 7:30 p.m.
