Recorder Society of Connecticut to hold workshop

The Recorder Society of Connecticut (RSC) will hold its monthly meeting and playing session on Sept. 8. This Saturday morning program runs from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Church, 10 Lyons Plains Road, Westport.

The playing session is divided into two groups, one for low intermediate and one for high intermediate players.

Experienced recorder teachers/performers are the featured coaches and group conductors. At the September meeting, he two coaches will be Karen Snowberg,  music director of the Westchester Recorder Guild, and Susan Iadone, RSC music directorand recorder instructor at Saint David’s School in New York City.

The emphasis is on Renaissance and Baroque music.

Bring your recorders and music stand. Music is provided. Newcomers are welcome.
