A motor vehicle accident occurred while police were helping a disabled motorist on Georgetown Road on Saturday, Sept. 1. According to the police report, officers were assisting a motorist on Georgetown Road near Langner Road and had stopped traffic to allow the motorist to back up, when a Honda CRV driven by a minor struck the rear end of another car in the line of traffic.
There was damage to both vehicles, which were towed from the scene, and the minor was given a verbal warning for following too closely.
