Cobb’s Mill Inn at 12 Old Mill Road in Weston is hosting a family friendly, summer’s end celebration on Sunday, Sept. 9, from 5 to 9 p.m. It is being billed as “Pimpin’ the Patio,” since notable Fairfield County funk band, Pimpinella, will be stirring the party-comers for dancing on the patio, while children’s activities happen inside the restaurant.
Cobb’s Mill’s executive chef Michael Achille is preparing a special outdoor barbecue menu for the occasion.
“We wanted to throw a party to celebrate the start of the new school year,” said Cobb’s Mill Inn partner Elayne Cassara. “Extending the community building and family fun from Weston’s first pedestrian day [the Big Bike/Pedi Event on School Road from noon to 5] to festivities at Weston’s landmark restaurant made perfect sense.”
Face painting and other activities specifically geared toward children will be ongoing at Cobb’s Mill throughout the evening.
“From community feedback, we know an event like ‘Pimpin’ the Patio’ on Sept. 9 will be appreciated and we anticipate this to be the first of many family fun Sundays for Cobb’s Mill Inn,” Ms. Cassara said.
