Young Weston pianist performs for orphanage benefit

A group of young pianists will perform Sunday, Aug. 26, at 4 to raise money for children at the Remar Orphanage in Quito, Ecuador.

The program of classical music will be held at Fairfield Grace United Methodist Church, 1087 Fairfield Woods Road, Fairfield.

Performers, all students of pianist Kyong Hee Cho, are Bianca Corjuc of Weston; Christine Chang, Angela Suh and Yoo Jin Choi of Fairfield; Jessica Kao of New Canaan; Brian Wei of Wilton; and Michael Leone of Westport.

Tickets to the sixth annual Playing by Heart are $10.

“With the money we raise, I hope that we can show the orphans that even ordinary students like us can make a difference,” said Angela, who has been studying piano for 11 years.

Ms. Cho said the summer concerts give students the opportunity to focus on their music, free from school obligations.
