Ms. Jonsson began her teaching career as a second grade teacher at Schumann Elementary School in Orono, Minn. She then moved to Connecticut and spent six years as a math support teacher at King’s Highway Elementary School in Westport. Ms. Jonsson has a bachelor’s degree in retailing from the University of South Carolina and a bachelor’s in elementary education from Moorhead State University, Moorhead, Minn. She has been on the Weston PTO, Weston High School Football – Gridiron Club, and has served as a Relay for Life team captain.

Mr. Brencher has joined the high school team from Terryville High School, Terryville, Conn. He previously taught technology education at Robert E. Fitch Senior High School in Groton for seven years, where he also coached JV and freshman baseball. Prior to his career in education, Mr. Brencher worked for ESPN as a television production assistant. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Eastern Connecticut University, and a master’s in education in Technology from the University of Connecticut.

Ms. Bakes is coming to Weston after spending a year teaching math at New Canaan High School. Prior to that assignment, she was an adjunct accounting professor at Western Connecticut State University. She has a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting with a minor in computer science from Southern Connecticut State University, a master’s in mathematics education from the Teachers College, Columbia University, New York, and is enrolled in the master of science in mathematics program at Fairfield University. Ms. Bakes is a board member and treasurer of the Bakes Family Foundation, whose mission is to provide financial assistance for medical and educational needs of Greek/American youth.

Ms. Fuchs has a bachelor’s degree in French and Francophone studies, with a minor in psychology, from Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pa., and a master’s of education in French foreign language, Grades K-12 from Fairfield University. In the 2007-08 school year, she spent a year abroad studying at the Universite de Toulouse, in Le Mirail. France. Ms. Fuchs student taught at Helen Keller Middle School in Easton and was a long-term substitute at Fairfield Warde High School in Fairfield. She also has been a camp counselor, a daycare teacher, and an assistant soccer and softball coach.

Ms. Lindsay holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, with a minor in psychology, and a master’s degree in teaching, secondary education, from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield. She was an inductee to the Pi Lambda Theta National Education Honor Society and the Pi Mu Epsilon National Mathematics Honor Society. Ms. Lindsay student taught at Middlebrook School in Wilton.

Ms. Russo has a bachelor’s in business administration and management information systems from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Ind., and a master’s degree in mathematics from Fairfield University. She taught at Greenwich Central Middle School for five years. While at Greenwich, she became the Student Government advisor and co-producer of their Middle School Music Theater Company. Ms. Russo also led her MathCounts team, which placed in chapter and state competitions.

Ms. Morgado holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from New York University, New York City, and a master’s in elementary education from Queens College, Flushing, N.Y. She previously worked for Weston as a long-term substitute and was a building substitute in the Westport schools. Ms. Morgado student taught at PS-219 Paul Klapper School in Flushing, N.Y., and was a teacher in the toddler classroom at Bright Horizons.

Ms. Kiska has a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreational services from the University of Connecticut, and a master’s in teaching, childhood education and special education from Manhattanville College, Purchase, N.Y. Ms. Kiska has spent the last few years working in various long-term substitute and building substitute roles for Weston. Prior to her service in Weston, she worked at the National Lekotek Center as a family play specialist. Ms. Kiska graduated from Wilton High School.

Mr. Lore has a bachelor’s degree in physics from SUNY at Stony Brook, N.Y., and a master’s degree in physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy N.Y. He has worked the last few years at Elm City College Preparatory Middle School in New Haven as an upper school science teacher, as well as a seventh grade mathematics teacher. Previously, he worked at Bronx High School for Writing and Communications Arts as a teacher and a 10th grade cohort team leader.

Ms. Skrebutenas comes to Weston from Wolcott Public Schools, where she taught for 33 years. She worked at both Wolcott High School and Tyrrell Middle School teaching band, general music, piano, guitar and chorus. She was also their fine arts team leader. Ms. Skrebutenas is a member of the National Association for Music Education Eastern Division and the chairperson for the Eastern Division Biennial In-Service Conference. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Western Connecticut State University and has taken graduate courses at Duquesne University, Pennsylvania, Central Connecticut State University, and Wesleyan University.

Ms. Lynfield has a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University, Waltham, Mass., and an elementary education teaching certification from Sacred Heart University. She has spent the last two years as a long-term substitute for both Weston public schools and Westport schools. Prior to her career in education, Ms. Lynfield worked as a publicist and a writer. She has worked for William Morrow Publishers, Burson-Marstellar Public Relations, National Council of Jewish Women, and the Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce.

Third Grade Teacher, Weston Intermediate School
Ms. Baldwin comes to Weston after teaching third grade at Coleytown Elementary School, Westport. Prior to teaching in Westport, she was a fourth grade teacher at Wooster School in Danbury for eight years. Ms. Baldwin has a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Hartwick College, Oneonta, N.Y., and a master of professional studies, elementary education and special education, from Manhattanville College, Purchase, N.Y. She also spent a semester abroad in Lacoste, France, studying studio arts. Before her career in education, Ms. Baldwin worked for Outward Bound USA as director of student services.

Mr. Ragusa comes to Weston from the Achievement First Bridgeport Elementary School, where he was the founding special services coordinator and learning specialist. Before Achievement First, he taught special education at High Road Student Learning Center in Wallingford, and high school mathematics at Stanbridge Academy, San Mateo, Calif. Mr. Ragusa has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and philosophy, University of Connecticut, a master’s in learning disabilities from Southern Connecticut State University, and is in his sixth year program at Sacred Heart University.
