‘Momoirs’ explores mother-child bond

In time for Mother’s Day, the Theatre Artists Workshop (TAW) of Norwalk presents Momoirs: The Umbilical Cord Stops Here! , an original play that lovingly and humorously celebrates the bond of mothers and children.

The ensemble production will be performed at TAW’s theater at 5 Gregory Blvd. in Norwalk, Friday and Saturday, May 11 and 12, at 8 p.m., and a Sunday matinee May 13 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $20.

The lively show of scenes, songs and monologues was conceived in a writing workshop led by Linda Howard. Momoirs rises from the creative genius of seven writers and actresses, TAW members Sari Bodi Randye Kaye, Rosemary Foley, Linda Howard, Elizabeth Keyser, Jo Anne Parady and Nadine Willig.

Each writer draws profoundly from her own life as a mother and daughter. After the performance the audience is invited to participate in their own Momoirs experience.

The ensemble cast of performers in Momoirs includes Emilie Roberts of Weston.
