The Weston High girls lacrosse team suffered its first league loss of the season and only its second overall when it fell 16-5 to defending South-West Conference champ Newtown on Tuesday. The loss also stopped a seven-game winning streak.
Catie Ledwick and Lindsey Koch each scored two goals for Weston. Alexa Werner netted one and had one assist.Ana Flooks had two assists. Grace Mattison and Stephanie Thomson had one apiece.
Carolyn Figliola made eight saves in goal for Weston, now 11-2 overall.
