One of cabaret’s best loved performers, actress/singer Leslie Orofino, who has entertained audiences across the country from the legendary Algonquin’s Oak Room in New York to Napa Valley’s Silverado Country Club, is coming to the Weston Historical Society for one night only.
Ms. Orofino will be appearing in her brand new show, Affairs Of The Heart, on Saturday, May 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the Weston Historical Society’s archive building at 104 Weston Road.
Cabaret icon, Julie Wilson said, “Leslie Orofino is equally at home with ballads and sophisticated comedy. She leaves you high on life and love and has a marvelous vocal instrument!”
Ms. Orofino will be accompanied by award-winning musicians Daryl Kojak on piano and Boots Maleson on bass.
Affairs Of The Heart celebrates all things that make your heart beat a little faster, with comedy, jazz, rock and tender ballads, through the songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein, Cole Porter, Harry Warren, Fats Waller, Rodgers and Hart, Alberta Hunter and many others. The show’s director is Louis D. Pietig.
