Dowal O’Neill “Dick” Dickerson, Sr. died Friday, April 20, 2012, at his home in Lebanon, Tenn. He was 84.
Born in Grinnell, Iowa, to the late William Thomas and Claris Viola Wright Dickerson, Mr. Dickerson worked for several defense contracting companies in Southern California and Utah.
Among the many children and grandchildren who survive him are daughter Connie Jo Dickerson (and Jon M. Young), a resident of Weston and the Sunday Librarian at the Mark Twain Library in Redding; grandson William Young of Weston; and granddaughter Elizabeth Young, a junior at Brown University in Providence, RI.
