Nick LaCava of Weston and the U.S. men’s rowing Olympic lightweight four team finished second in the B finals at Eton Dorney Rowing Centre on Thursday.
LaCava and his teammates finished the race in six minutes, 9.23 seconds, 1.14 seconds behind B finals winner France, to take eighth overall in a field of 12 teams.
South Africa was first in the A finals in 6:02.84 to win the gold medal. Host Great Britain took the silver in 6:03.09, 0.07 second ahead of Denmark, which took the bronze.—Katharine Huber photo
