Seven young performers from Weston are featured in the cast of the Music Theatre of Connecticut School of Performing Arts production of Footloose, a fully staged and costumed production that opens on Friday night.
The Weston members of the large cast are Jessica Dionian, Caitlin Grogan, Sophia Jacobs, Maddy Lustberg, Isabelle Potash, Elissa Teles and Amanda Wrynn.
The show, based on the 1984 movie (starring Kevin Bacon, John Lithgow, Lori Singer, Chris Penn and Sarah Jessica Parker) features 80s hits including Holding Out for A Hero, Almost Paradise, Let’s Hear It for the Boy and, of course, Footloose.
Friday’s show begins at 7:30 and there is a Saturday matinee at 2 at Long Lots School in Westport. Tickets are $15-$20 for adults and $12-$15 for students, and reservations are suggested. Tickets are available by calling 203-454-3883 or visiting musictheatreofct.com.
